Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is a Mexican American performer, singer and actress. Raised by her mother in the USA she faced numerous racial insults and made her feel being unwelcome. It was during her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim during an audition. This not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. In 1992, she earned her diploma from the New York's Julliard School. Her professional career began at the age of 23 in Paul Simon's The Capeman on Broadway and The You've Got Mail film. In the Broadway first production of Spamalot, she played The Lady of The Lake which won the Tony Award as well as high praise from critics. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater recognition. As a professional singer and producer, she's produced a single as well as an extensive work. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate for LGBT equality.
