David Muir (born August 25 1949) is a famous American anchor, journalist and reporter. Most well-known is for World News Tonight. Its stunning video footage as well as the animated movements have made it the most watched American newscast. Made In America was nominated for an Emmy. Before he took over ABC World News Tonight he was the primary substitute anchor for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. ABC News has broadcast many specials during primetime, with including the most recent one, Breaking Point Heroin in America. His travels have brought him to every regions of the globe and include Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti the Gulf of Mexico and much more. He has received multiple Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards as well as honors by The Associated Press.
